The tested model of Toyota Landcruiser 70 Single Cab Chassis was introduced in Australia and New Zealand in October 2016. This ANCAP safety rating applies to single cab chassis variants built from September 2016. Other variants are unrated.

Dual frontal, side head airbags (curtains) and a driver knee airbag are standard. Advanced seat belt reminders are fitted to both front seats. Advanced safety assist technology features such as autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and lane support systems (LSS) are not available.
